What a platform gives you, and what it does not
A platform gives you every chart type, every indicator and a community publishing scripts. What it does not give you is exactly your layout, showing exactly your instruments, with the one derived number you actually watch. That last mile is why people end up with six tabs open.
The case for building the narrow thing
If the view you want is a handful of instruments, a spread between two of them and an alert when it moves, that is a small app. Built once it costs nothing a month, runs where you put it, and shows precisely what you asked for and nothing else.
Where the numbers come from
Generated apps read public endpoints that need no key: prices, order books, funding rates across venues. That is enough for a live dashboard and for most derived figures a trader actually watches. The table below is one of those endpoints, read while this page was served.
Who should not switch
If you need candlestick pattern tools, a deep indicator library, drawing tools or published community scripts, build nothing and pay for the platform. This is for the person who wants one view, not a replacement for a decade of product work.

Common questions
Can a built dashboard really replace TradingView?
For a narrow view, yes. For the full platform, no, and it would be silly to claim otherwise. The honest case is that many people use a small fraction of a large platform and would be better served by one page showing exactly their instruments.
What market data is available without a key?
Prices, order books, funding rates, yields and prediction market odds through public endpoints that need no signup. That covers a live dashboard and most derived figures such as spreads, basis and funding differences between venues.
Do I have to pay monthly for the app I build?
No. You own the code and the published app is a static bundle. There is no per seat charge on the thing you built, which is the main structural difference from subscribing to a platform.
