A Replit alternative makes sense when the app has to read a live market: Replit is a general browser IDE with an agent, and this is a narrower builder whose generated apps call keyless public endpoints for prices, funding rates and order books, so they show real figures rather than placeholders.
Replit gives you a full development environment in the browser with an agent that can build in it. For general purpose apps that is a strong and very broad offering, and this page is not arguing against it.

General purpose against one purpose
Replit will help you build almost anything, which means it knows nothing in particular about any of it. This builder knows one domain: markets. That is a disadvantage for a to-do list and an advantage for anything that has to be correct about a price.
Why live data is the hard part
An app that displays a number which changes is mostly plumbing: finding a source, handling the key, dealing with CORS, deciding what to show when the source does not answer. Most generated apps fake it with a placeholder and look finished while being wrong.
What is wired in already
Public endpoints that need no key cover prices, order books, funding rates, yields and prediction market odds. A generated app calls them directly, so it is reading a real market from the first render. What follows came straight off one of those endpoints as this page was built.
Who should not switch
If you are building something that has nothing to do with markets, a general environment is the better fit and Replit is a good one. The case for this is narrow on purpose.

How is this different from Replit?
Scope. Replit is a general browser IDE with an agent and will help you build almost anything. This is a builder aimed at apps that read live markets, with public price endpoints wired in so generated apps show real figures rather than placeholder numbers.
Do I need an API key to get live prices?
No. The market endpoints used by generated apps are public and keyless, which is why an app works from the first render rather than after you have signed up somewhere and pasted a token into it.
Can I export the project?
Yes. The code is yours and the published app is an ordinary static bundle, so you can take it elsewhere, including into a full development environment, once it is doing what you want.
