Live market

SpaceX has no stock price. This is what a market prices it at.

SpaceX shares do not trade publicly, so no SpaceX stock price exists. The figure on this page is the live price of a perpetual futures contract listed under the symbol SPCX on Pacifica, which is a market's opinion rather than a share price, and the sections below set out exactly what it is, what it is not, and which parts of it we cannot verify.

Read from the exchange as this page rendered. SpaceX is a private company, so there is no share price to look up anywhere. What is below is a perpetual contract listed under the symbol SPCX, which is a different thing, and the difference is the whole page.

Why there is no SpaceX stock price to find

SpaceX is privately held. Its shares are not listed on any exchange, there is no ticker to look up, and the transactions that do happen are private placements and employee tender offers whose terms are not published. Every page that appears to quote a SpaceX share price is quoting something else: a fund's estimate, a secondary marketplace's indication, or a valuation divided by an assumed share count. That is why almost every search result for this question is an article explaining that you cannot buy it.

What the number on this page actually is

It is the live price of a perpetual futures contract that Pacifica lists under the symbol SPCX, read from the venue's order book when this page was served. A perpetual has no expiry and settles in cash against the venue's own reference, so nothing about it involves owning, receiving, or having any claim on a share of SpaceX. It is a market price for a contract, and the contract is the thing being traded, not the company.

The part we cannot verify, stated plainly

Pacifica's public instrument data gives the symbol, that it is a perpetual, a maximum leverage of ten, a tick size of a cent, and the live book. It does not publish, anywhere we can read programmatically, how the reference price for this symbol is derived. So we can tell you what the market is quoting and we cannot tell you what it is quoting against. That is the venue's to document, and anyone thinking of trading it should read their terms rather than trusting a number on a page like this one, including this one.

A price on a thin market is an opinion, not a valuation

The open interest and 24 hour volume beside the price are the figures that say how much weight it carries. This market was listed on 20 May 2026 and is small: a few hundred contracts of open interest and a daily volume in the low hundreds of thousands. A number produced by a handful of participants is a reading of those participants, not a valuation of one of the largest private companies in the world. Treat a move here as information about the market, and only then as a question about the company.

Why a perpetual on a private company can drift, and nothing pulls it back

On a perpetual tracking a liquid asset, arbitrage anchors the contract to the thing it follows: if the contract is dear, someone sells it and buys the asset. Here there is no asset anybody can buy, so that correction cannot happen. Funding is the only mechanism pulling the two sides together, and it acts on positioning rather than on any external price. That makes this number freer to wander from whatever SpaceX is really worth than a perpetual on gold or on a listed stock, and it is the single most important thing to understand before reading it as a valuation.
