One product line still sets the tone

The iPhone remains the largest single source of revenue, and the services business that is often described as the growth story is substantially built on the installed base that phone created. That linkage is why supply chain reports out of Asia move the stock overnight, and why the tokenised price can gap before Nasdaq has an opinion. Buybacks have been a large part of the return

Apple has retired a substantial share of its own stock over the past decade, which raises earnings per share without changing the business and puts a persistent bid under the price during open-market windows. It is one reason the realised volatility above tends to sit below the sector's. It is also a reason to read per-share growth carefully: some of it is arithmetic.

What a backed token gives you and what it costs you

An issuer holds the share with a custodian and issues a token against it. The token prices continuously and settles in minutes; it carries no vote, its treatment of dividends depends on the issuer's terms, and it adds a counterparty you would not have through a broker. The tokenised float above is the size of that market, and it is a tiny fraction of the company, which is worth remembering before reading a weekend move as news about Apple.
