Read at 2026-09-29 10:08 UTC through our own keyless relay, and refreshed at most every five minutes. This is the price of a token backed one for one by the share, which trades continuously; it is not the exchange last trade. Any figure quoted from this page is accurate as of that time and not afterwards.

Custom silicon is a different business from selling chips

A large part of Broadcom's accelerator revenue comes from designing bespoke parts for a handful of very large customers rather than selling a catalogue product. That concentrates the revenue in few relationships and makes it lumpy and contractually visible at the same time. When the chart above moves hard with no industry news, a customer disclosure is the usual cause.

Half the company is software, and the market often forgets

Successive large acquisitions turned Broadcom into a company where infrastructure software contributes a substantial share of profit. That half behaves nothing like semiconductors: renewal-driven, price-led and far steadier. It is one reason the realised volatility above can sit below other chip names during a semiconductor selloff.

What a backed token gives you and what it costs you

An issuer buys the share, holds it with a custodian, and issues a token against it. The token quotes continuously and settles fast; it carries no vote, dividends depend on the issuer's terms, and there is a counterparty between you and the share. Neither is better in the abstract; they are different instruments and this page describes the second.

The part we cannot verify

We read the token's price, its traded volume and the value of tokens in issue. We do not audit the custody behind it. The price was checked against the exchange's last close when this page was built and agreed to within one percent. For the official price, use Nasdaq or a broker.
