Monero price, live, on an asset most exchanges no longer list

The monero price on this page is a live perpetual contract price, and it is notable because XMR has been delisted from a number of large exchanges, so a cash-settled derivative is now one of the more accessible ways to price the asset at all.

Read from the exchange as this page rendered. A perpetual contract on XMR, which matters more here than on most assets because the spot market it tracks has been narrowing for years.

Delistings make the reference price harder, not just the buying

When large venues stop listing an asset, the remaining spot liquidity is thinner and more fragmented, and every reference price built on top of it inherits that. A perpetual still needs something to mark against. So the usual advice, that a perp price is close to spot, carries a bigger asterisk on monero than on bitcoin: the spot it is close to is itself measured across fewer and smaller books.

Privacy by default, which changes what analysis is possible

Monero hides sender, receiver and amount for every transaction by design, not as an option. The consequence for anyone reading this page is simple and absolute: the on-chain analysis routinely used to support a view on bitcoin or ethereum does not exist here. There are no holder distributions to cite and no exchange flows to watch. The market price is very close to the only public signal there is.

A small book means the spread is the story

The open interest and 24 hour volume above are modest. On a book this size the spread and the depth a little below the top matter more than the last price, because a position of any size will move the quote it was entered against. Read the spread column first and treat the mark as the more reliable of the two prices shown.

What this price is not

It is not a spot quote, it involves no XMR, and it confers nothing. It is what one perpetual book was quoting when this page was served, on an asset where that is a more meaningful caveat than usual.
