Read from the Pacifica perpetual book at 2026-09-27 23:12 UTC, through our own keyless relay, and refreshed at most every five minutes. Any figure quoted from this page is accurate as of that time and not afterwards.

Tesla is where retail positioning shows up first

Few large caps carry as much discretionary retail flow, and that flow tends to arrive as leverage rather than shares. On a perpetual that shows up in two places: the funding rate, which is what one side pays the other to keep the position open, and the open interest, which is how much is riding on it. When open interest climbs while price does not, the crowd is building a position the tape has not yet rewarded.

Deliveries and margins move it more than the market does

Tesla's quarterly delivery number and its automotive gross margin have repeatedly moved the stock further than index-level news in the same week. That is worth knowing when you read the realised volatility above: a high reading two weeks before a delivery print means something different from the same reading the morning after one. The seven-day chart shows you which of those you are in.

This is not the Nasdaq last trade

A perpetual has no expiry, settles in cash, and gives you no share, no vote and no dividend. It trades continuously, so it prices Tesla news that breaks at three in the morning while Nasdaq is shut. That is the usual reason this number and the official close differ. For the official price use the exchange or a broker.

The part we cannot verify

Pacifica publishes the symbol, the instrument type, the live book and hourly candles. It does not publish how the reference price is derived, nor the interval its funding settles over, so the funding figure above is shown per interval and not annualised. Read the venue's terms before trading it.
